Case Study 1
1.) How well is IT supporting the business goals of BellSouth? Explain.
- From 2000,000 customers of Bell-South's company, a 330% rate of increase happened. The registered customers of the company now is 660,000. The expenses of the company was also lowered by 50%. Thus, increasing its income greatly. This was enabled because of the customer relationship management software for orders and self-installation features of their website made by IT.
2.) Is BellSouth's technology transfer map a good way to determine IT investment priorities? Why or Why not?
- Yes, Technology transfer map is a good way to determine IT investment priorities. This is because with this "technology transfer map" investments are more focusing in the operations of welfare of the company. So, generating more profit and later on leads to growth of the company. With this situation job opportunities will overflow for IT's.
3.) What else could BellSouth do to guarantee the strategic business value of potential IT investments projects?
- Maybe they can sell blogs and templates. They can have a section of IT's for creating and modifying blogs and templates. A forum may do. A request or order from a customer then the IT's assigned in the section will make it according to the customer's idea. |
